Who We Are

We are excited to offer a one stop location for getting your meats processed! The Nelson family has been in the beef and pork industry even before they moved to the New York Mills area in the 1960's. We understand beef and pork from top to bottom. We now offer custom processing of your animals- or can get you lined up with an animal that is raised exactly how you want. 



Director of Operations: Jack Nelson brings a wealth of knowledge to our group. He has worked in and managed multiple meat processing company's over the years. Jack also has been a life long producer of top quality Black Angus cattle.


Plant Manager: Grant Kysar has been a team leader since the very beginning. Every day he brings positivity and good cheer to the team. Grant is a natural born leader who quietly leads by example with his endless energy and attention to detail. 



Brandon and Katie Nelson oversee the operations of Midwest Meat, our Beef and Pork Farm, and Construction Company (BK Builders LLC). We have been blessed with an amazing and talented team that takes passion in what they do.
